Getting high at Cloud 23

It was Hannah’s 18th birthday on Sunday so we headed to Manchester and Cloud 23 on the 23rd floor of the Hilton Hotel in Manchester for drinkies. Actually, it was Hannah’s first (legal) alcoholic drink and it was a good one to start with. It was a Bittersweet Symphony, a cocktail which cost £9.95. Hannah and cousin Amy had those. I decided to have a ginger beer which cost £1.95 (I was the one paying the bill). That’s the thing in Cloud 23; the place is certainly high, altitude-wise, but the prices too are correspondingly high. Who cares about that, though, when you’re eighteen?!

  1. I have a hard time imagining you being old enough to be father to an 18yo, Jon. But that’s just me.
All the best to Hannah and may she have many more happy birthdays to come.
