We thought Tangled was great.
Going in reverse age order in one impossibly long sentence; Alice (age 3) sat and watched the whole thing without taking her eyes off the screen and then after the film insisted on dragging her mum to ASDA to buy a replica Rapunzel rig-out which she has barely taken off since; Hannah (age 14) found it surprisingly exciting and funny even though it probably wouldn’t have been her first choice of film to see; and Dad, otherwise known as me, (age 401), who usually wants to throw up in traditional Disney films completely loved it and found it enjoyable from start to finish. Phew, that was long.
Actually, half way through I did want to throw up but this wasn’t because of the film but due to the first stirrings of a bout of man flu which has caused me to take a couple of days off work this week. I would definitely recommend Tangled as a great illustration of how you can tell a story in a straight-forward, almost old-fashioned (we saw the 2D version) way and make it fast-moving, entertaining and fun for people from the ages of 3 to 401.
HAVE YOU SEEN TANGLED? WHAT DID YOU THINK? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF DISNEY FILMS GENERALLY?
